Over the coming months, we are going to read submissions to the magazine and publish the best of the best. How can we ever describe the exuberant richness and multiplicity of literary art in this place to you? This is both or task and our delight.

Let us disclose to you the hare-brained ambition we are pursuing– which is to read at least twenty submissions. Who knows what kind of art we will discover?

We do not think there will be any shortage of material, though it may be difficult to choose what to publish because the possibilities are infinite. Truly all of human life is here in Borrego Springs.

If you wish to direct us to read something in particular, please let us know, because the days go by quickly and we are always eager to discover more stories. It is through meeting people and learning more that our understanding will grow, and this project can evolve. We are open to all approaches.

Like Good Deeds and Everyman in the old play, let us travel together. We promise to keep reading every day and it will be an eventful journey we shall have together.
