Fabrice Poussin
I look for body parts. Why not?!
Seems you can find anything
in the path left by the storm.
Not difficult to tell what the people
upstream have been eating for decades
chicken nuggets drowned in thick lattes.
Plastic chairs of faded pastels
dislocated in agonizing pain
seek after a floating branch
for a desperate moment more.
Dried debris swim on the flow
of a deafening roar in tow of
waves maddened with the force
of one hundred hurricanes.
You can spy the treasures
of hypermarts made in China
flat screens, fake Rolexes, and plastic toys.
Such wealth of muddy cakes
drowned in sinking memories.
I fear the next mannequin may be more.
