DRAMA
Tom Misuraca studied Writing, Publishing and Literature at Emerson College in his home town of Boston before moving to Los Angeles. Over 130 of his short stories and two novels have been published. His story, “Giving Up The Ghosts” was published in Constellations Journal, and nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2021. His work has recently appeared in Juste, Meniscus and Metonym Literary Journals. He is also a multi-award winning playwright with over 150 short plays and 13 full-lengths produced globally. His musical, Geeks!, was produced Off-Broadway in May 2019.
NON-FICTION
Claire MacDonagh was raised in Southern California, the daughter of a Grapes of Wrath Irish Okie father and a Scottish Native American mother. She started writing at the age of 5 when her parents gave her a manual typewriter for her birthday. She enjoys outdoor activities, entertaining friends with her sense of humor, and occasionally rapping at parties. She’s a recent brain tumor survivor and appreciates life more after her experience.
POETRY
Amy Brewster lives in both Borrego Springs and Salinas, CA. She has been coming to Anza-Borrego Desert since she was a child. She is a volunteer with the Anza-Borrego Natural History Association and writes for
their Sand Paper newsletter and was a volunteer columnist for the local Salinas Newspaper, The Californian.
Amy is a docent at a wetland called Elkhorn Slough near Watsonville, California. She has a life long
passion for nature and leads hikes in the Borrego Desert called, “Hike and Write.”

Poet, artist, professor, and Managing Editor of SDPA, Seretta Martin has hosted and promoted poetry
since 2003. Her award-winning works have appeared in anthologies here and abroad for over twenty
years. She holds an MFA, has judged Poetry Out Loud, appeared on ITV and co-founded Haiku San

Todd Matson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina, United States. His poetry has been published Salvation South, Agape Review, San Antonio Review, The Brussels Review, and featured in Poetry for Mental Health. He has also written lyrics for songs recorded by contemporary Christian music artists, including Brent Lamb, Connie Scott, and The Gaither Vocal Band.
