Diane Webster
Stare at fire,
stare at clouds,
stare at water
inspires imagination
to conjure visions
like turning a kaleidoscope
as colors cascade
and pile into shapes
oohed, aahed
like fireworks
bursting overhead
or as soothing as
hugging a teddy bear
after Mom kisses
and tucks you in
with sweet dreams
wishing good night.
